Perverts new extended player ‘Not So Friendly’ is a concept recording that delved into the mind(s) of that notorious breed of character the serial killer.

The band were interested in exploring the concepts of what creates a serial killer examining various aspects of the media from hyperbole news coverage to the ‘instant celebrity’ culture that continues to sustain icon or even almost god like status until another sensation appears.

• Robert Thompson and Jon Venables, murderer's of James Bulger, playing serenely in the woods with angelic halos.

• Harold Shipman riding a Bull sent from Heaven to wreak his work on the elderly in West Yorkshire.

• Myra Hindley, one of the moors' murderers, who has been granted a halo.


EP Tracks -

• Sissies and Survivors tells the tale of a serial killer who hoards the victims as dolls.

• I’m So Beautiful is an alternative take on Harris Glenn Milstead’s (aka Divine) classic 1980’s disco punk track where the serial killer hunts the street to be beautiful.

• Tape Worms is a novella into the life of that parasitic killer - a tape worm, who gets an almost Eastender’s slot within this piece.

• Murder Star describes a boy who has been lifted up and then dumped by the world of X-factor only to reek revenge on the stage and screen stars of his former existence.

• Let’s get Fucked up and Kill someone is a tale of a Richard Ramirez esq short lived yet extreme killing spree, or possibly re-imagines the Columbine Massacre or Dunblaine School shootings.

• Take a Walk on the Wild side is a Perverted version of Lou Reed’s classic song, ‘Dark Side’ where all the vocals were recorded via a low frequency phone setup.
